Setting Up Zoom

 

Before using Zoom for the first time, users will need to authenticate an account using a ECC email address.

  1. Go to elgin-edu.zoom.us
  2. Click “Sign In” and use your ECC credentials. The page is our AccessECC logon page, so it should look familiar.
  3. You will then be taken to your profile page.
  4. On the lower left will be links to video tutorials and other help items.

NOTE: With your licensed Zoom account through Elgin Community College you will be able to access features that you cannot with a free account.


If you would like to use the stand-alone application on your desktop, tablet, or phone, just follow these steps:

  1. Choose sign-in.
  2. Select “Sign in with SSO” to the right of the e-mail and password prompts.
  3. Then enter, “elgin-edu” (without the quotes) for the domain.
    Note that zoom.us should already be populated.
  4. You will then be prompted for your ECC credentials at the AccessECC logon page.
