Setting Up Zoom
Before using Zoom for the first time, users will need to authenticate an account using a ECC email address.
- Go to elgin-edu.zoom.us
- Click “Sign In” and use your ECC credentials. The page is our AccessECC logon page, so it should look familiar.
- You will then be taken to your profile page.
- On the lower left will be links to video tutorials and other help items.
NOTE: With your licensed Zoom account through Elgin Community College you will be able to access features that you cannot with a free account.
If you would like to use the stand-alone application on your desktop, tablet, or phone, just follow these steps:
- Choose sign-in.
- Select “Sign in with SSO” to the right of the e-mail and password prompts.
- Then enter, “elgin-edu” (without the quotes) for the domain.
Note that zoom.us should already be populated. - You will then be prompted for your ECC credentials at the AccessECC logon page.
